I would like to perform a transient simulation. Then I would like to determine the average temperature profile. However, I do not want a temperature value for one time step. I have created a line in the fluid domain. From this I want to have the averaged temperature over time for each cell on the line. What are the possibilities in Fluent? Is there a way I can save the temperature value of the cells on the line after each time step?
Thanks for your help |

Enabling data sampling for time statistics, this creates new fields with the name mean in them for each of the primitive fields that are averaged.
Create your line the same way but instead of plotting temperature plot the mean temperature. If you want to save the temperature value of the cells on the line at each time step you can, enable solution export and choose temperature and the line. But you can just plot the mean temperature on the line directly. |
