Modelling microchannel - inlet boundary condition

How would you define the inlet boundary condition in a vertically oriented microchannel? I've seen many use either a constant velocity or mass flow rate but not a pressure BC. Can't it be defined as a pressure inlet BC, cause I'm trying to determine the velocity of capillary rise? (This probably might be more of a theory question than Fluent)
Trying to wrap my head around this, but looks like I'm not getting anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Hi,
You can set a pressure inlet or a pressure outlet with backflow Water or the fluid that is supposed to be sucked in by capillarity. Might be that you need to patch a little bit of liquid so that it starts "sucking" it in. Regards |
