I tried simulating a 2D VAWT in ANSYS fluent. I have attached the velocity contour pics below with the interior showing the blades. I'll explain the conditions below
1) 3-bladed turbine with a radius of 0.3m in shape of a flower. 2)Inlet velocity magnitude of 5 m/s The blade should be rotating due to the velocity magnitude so that forces, moment, power, torque, and rpm can be calculated. I'm getting the following error/problems. 1) Not able to add expression for velocity( my version is 19.2) 2) How to enable the interior to rotate using dynamic mesh 3) The velocity contour before calculation should be zero( all blue) but its not (attached pic) Please provide an answer to this query. My main objective is to find rpm from 2d vawt cfd simulation at a given wind speed. Please provide any help for a proper method for the same.Thank you F.1.jpg F2.jpg |
