Hello all,
I am trying to model solidification of molten pool of material (on the floor) due to heat transfer to surrounding air and radiative heat transfer to surrounding surfaces. I understood that in FLUENT, enthalpy-porosity formulation is used in the solidification model. Now, my molten pool also has some heat source at the bottom, due to which solidification and melting process will continue till the steady state will reach. Also I have porosity variation data with temperature from experiment. Let us say, for temp less that T1, porosity is 0.5. Between T1 to T2, porosity linearly varies from 0 to 1 (T2>T1). I want to know how can I give this condition in the FLUENT. PS. Forgive me if I have any misunderstanding regarding solidification model, corrections are welcome. |
