Hello everyone,
Hope you all are doing good. I need an assist related to convergence issue with Discrete Phase Method simulation. The solver I am using is K-epsilon Realizable with enhanced wall treatment, algorithm as Coupled with momentum, TKE , TDR as first order discretization, Pressure and gradient as second order and Least square cell method respectively. With all the relaxation factor as default (even with low relaxation factor) I am getting oscillatory residuals especially for the case of continuity residual ( I ve attached a pic below). Since, I am new to this DPM simulation and willing to ameliorate my knowledge further, I hope to get some advice on how to minimize this oscillation in the residuals as in my knowledge it is really undesirable. Please let me know if any further details are required about the problem. Also, the simulation is steady, min orthogonal quality is 0.18. |

Hi,
I am having a similar problem. My residuals also oscillate for larger flow rates (8e^-2) but the solution converges nicely for lower flow rates (8e^-16). Were you able to resolve your problem? If yes, then how? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks |
