Hi all,
For my internship i want to determine the minimal surface area of a tracheal stenosis. The 3D mesh is produced from a segmentation of a CT scan, as seen in the attached files. i want to determine the surface area in the smalest part of the mesh, where the stenosis ocures. the problem is that the centerline of the mesh is not aligned with the x-, y- or z- axis. I've been looking for several days now on youtube and different fora, but i can not find the answer to my question or a solution to a comparable problem. Can anyone explain to my how i can determine the surface area perpendicular to the centerline which runs from the center of the inlet to the center of the outlet. many thanks in advance. |
