**NOW SOLVED, SEE REPLY FOR SOLUTION**
Hi all, I'm getting into CFD as part of a student team and am currently setting up Fluent however when I first launch up the meshing 'method' the UI is inaccessible (Spinning loading icon on mouse and each button pings the windows alert sound) and my task manager shows several processes called fl_mpi2210 pegging my cpu. I've left it to run for 30 mins to see if it was setting something up but still nothing. Attached are some pictures of what I see. If anyone has any idea what's going on I'd love to hear it! Hi all,
I found the solution and the issue was my AMD processor and the Fluent launcher defaulting to an Intel only setting. To fix it, open the Fluent launcher then go Show more options --> Parallel settings --> MPI Types --> Set to msmpi. When Fluent launches the issue will be fixed. Hope this helps someone else! |
