My problem comprises a heat transfer between a porous medium and a fluid in which it is submerged.
The problem is that the porous medium has non-uniform volumetric heat flux (W/m3) generation. Do you know how to set a heat generation profile in the porous medium in the Ansys Fluent? Could I use the profile input tool or it would require a UDF? |

The volumetric profile is just a text table. It's basically a .csv table. If you can generate such a table it can definitely work. Anything can be done in a UDF, it's a UDF.

Thank you for the answer Tran!
I will try to implement a heat generation profile based on Ansys manual. Let’s see if it works. |
