Hello,
* Lets say that I am trying to simulate a simplified submarine, 3D. * It travels at constant speed. * The submarine movement is controlled by UDF, no explicit propulsion is simulated. *ERROR MESSATE: NEGATIVE CELL VOLUME DETECTED * I COULD PROPERLY SIMULATE THIS ON FLUENT 2D, BUT TRIED EVERYTHING AND ALWAYS FAILS ON 3D SIMULATION. * I tried using smaller time step, layering, smoothing and remeshing combinations. Always the problem above. * COULD YOU PLEASE SUGGEST HOW TO SET UP THIS MODEL? THANKS |

Is this a rigid body?
If so, maybe try the overset mesh, instead of dynamic mesh, which is very error-prone. |
