In Fluent, 'Profiles' can be written and then read into new simulations as the boundary condition e.g. velocity profiles. The user guide provides examples but they are limited to using XY plots (2D). Is it possible to use the profile orientation tool to map a YUmag velocity profile (1D) onto a XY surface e.g. velocity profile onto pipe inlet? I have already read a YUmag profile into Fluent and checked that the interpolated data plot and the profile data plot appear correctly but this in contrast to the inlet contour plot not appearing correctly, once initialised. Is there way to do this within Fluent, or should I manually rotate the YUmag profile date around the y-axis and then read the profile?
Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

I have the same problem. There seems technically an interpolation problem in the profile read. It may be a update bug for 2022. I am trying to find a solution too.
edit1: Be aware that you should use Hybrid Initialization. Otherwise, Standard Initialization converts the profile to a constant.
