water in tank with vortex baffles

Hello, I am modeling a tank filled with water but pressurized with air at 5 bar. The outlet of the tank is equipped with a vortex breaker that is used to block unwanted air pockets to pass through. Therefore, the water should pass only.
Now , I am modeling the problem with VoF (explicit) . Phase 1 is water, phase 2 is air. Operating pressure is 5 bar. At outlet mass flow inlet for phase-2 is applied, like as if the water is going to some other source. MFR is 26kg/s. I first patch initial volume of phase 2 (air) to be like 70%. But the fluid water is not changing its position at all. That is, it remains 30%. Please help in this problem Regards, SJ |

don't remember exactly but there should be option to define phase in outflow BC

yes, it is. Infact, I did this case previously with some coarser mesh and a wider geometry but this might be the effect of the fine mesh. Do i try Implicit?
