Hi
I use the Fluent post-processing options for rapid processing during my simulations. I create iso-surfaces of constant mesh to get points over a wing surface to extract Cf and Cp data. However, when I write the file, the points are not ordered and I get strange breaks. My geometry is broken into three sections. How can I arrange my points such that it is ordered from LE to TE and then TE to LE ? The attached pics will support the question. |

Your data is not ordered and that's why it connects the lines in a funny way. Btw, this is a good reason not to use line plots but use scatter plots.
The short answer is that you should order it yourself in post processing. You might have better luck if you split your surfaces into 6. 3 for the pressure side and 3 for the suction side. But in general this still won't be enough because the data written by a parallel solver is (in general) not going to have any structure to it. It's better to do the ordering in post-processing. |
