Hi,
I did a frozen rotor simulation of a centrifugal fan in CFX, which worked pretty fine (impeller meshed with turbogrid). But afterwards I noticed that CFX doesn't support the eulerian wall film model, which is what I need in further investigations. So I changed to Fluent und the problems began... I imported the CFX case in fluent. When I define the interface between the impeller and the volute Fluent says that there are overlapping zones and left handed faces are present. I have already tried all commands to fix these left handed cells. The solution diverges after a view interations, because (I think so) Fluent cannot handle these cells well. I also tried to set up a new case without dependecies to CFX (impeller meshed with ansys mesher) but there the same problem appears. What I looked up: The diameters of impeller and volute are the same for sure. Additionally the allignment of the rotation axis is the same. I do not know how to continue. Anybody has an idea? |
