Hello everyone,

It is my first time simulating a helicopter rotor in hover. I want to re-create the case of the Caradonna Tung rotor. I am using 1 blade and periodic interfaces. the domain is a half cylinder with the inlet at the top and outlet at the bottom.

For helicopter's in hover, they give the tip mach number and rpm. I use the RPM for the rotating fluid conditions. However for the inlet, I don't know if i should put the Tip speed or it should be 0 ? If the inlet speed is 0, then where to enter the tip mach number condition.

Thank you
