Hello
Which types of simulations GPU is supported in Fluent ???
I have HPC on 10 threads. In my case my settings are 7 CPU and 1 GPU. I have nvidia quadro p4000 8GB. So If I go transient simualtion with coupled method my GPU is below 1 % activity.
Do U have any recommends for GPU supports in Fluent .
Which type of methods /simulations I need to turn on to use my GPU ???

Best regards

By default, GPU acceleration remains disabled for Fluents SIMPLE solver. No matter what you enter in the Fluent launcher. Because it is not well suited for GPU acceleration. You can force it on with console commands, but it will only make the solver run slower.
It should work out of the box e.g. with the coupled solver. And a bunch of others, I assume they are still expanding and improving this feature. It's been a while since I checked. See also https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-ce.../ansys-fluent/
A side-note on the Quadro P4000: it's great for FP32 (5.3 TFLOPS), but the double-precision compute performance (166 GFLOPS) is nothing to write home about. Something to keep in mind for your benchmarking. This also means that GPU utilization is not the best indicator for how well GPU acceleration is running. Better compare run times with GPU acceleration on/off.
