Hello
I have asked a similar question previously but received no help. If someone could help me, it would be much appreciated. I am simulating an aircraft body with SA turbulence model. I believe my settings are good as they are based on recommendations from literature. My simulations converge well for my baseline model which has 1 body removed (an aft intake aboove the fuselage). My problems begin when i add this body. The junction between the body and my fuse causes the prism elements there to become highly skewed. Occassionally, in my iterations, i get messages that negative nut was calculated in around 2 to 7 cells. These are happening even at 5000 iterations. Is this a problem? what will happen if this message occurs in my last iteration and the dat file that is written has these negative values? Moreover, my continuity and nut residuals do not decrease below 1e-5 when i use the updated model. any suggestions on how i can decrease them and achieve tolerance of 1e-6? Or, is this happening because there is some periodic separation and reattachment? it is a steady state sim. for the baseline model which has no problems, it converges within 3000 iterations. My energy equation is on as i have ideal gas and sutherlands' law defined for air, |
