zwong8 is on a distinguished road
Hello!

I've been running simulations lately using a real gas lately as the working fluid. I add the real gas from the TUI using:

>> define/user-defined/real-gas-models/nist-real-gas-model

I've made a few observations through my usage:
  • When I add, say "air.fld" as a material, it automatically becomes the working fluid in every fluid zone.
  • Sometimes, I run into convergence issues and I change the zone material to a "simpler" working fluid (e.g. const. properties). However, even after deleting the real gas model and saving the project, if I exit out of fluent and open it back up, the default zone material is still a nist real gas.

I was hoping to get help with two questions:
  1. Is it possible to add a nist real gas model without it being auto-applied to every fluid zone?
  2. After adding a nist real gas model, is it possible to remove it as a material without having to completely reset the Fluent setup module?

Thank you very much for your help!
