Hello

I am interested in importing multiple mesh blocks into Fluent and forming one big domain. The reason for this is that I will occasionally swap out some blocks with new geometries.

Is the best way to do is to append mesh files and create interfaces?

Or, is it better to merge to the meshes on TGrid?

How do I start TGrid? Is TGrid now called Fluent meshing?

Thanks

Dear Alexander

Yes, that works. I can then define interfaces and proceed with my simulations. It works.

But, my question was of TGrid. Instead of having an interface with data is interpolated, I was looking at the possibility of having the nodes merged and the domain continuous with no interpolation.

From my online searches, it looks like TGrid can do this? Is that so?

zone append and then merge the faces if the meshes are matching. Create interfaces if not.

Why are you asking how to do something in a software that you do not even know how to launch.

One of the questions I asked was if tgrid was rebranded to Fluent meshing. Another question was on how to launch the software.

tgrid is launched by typing tgrid into the console.

tgrid is not Fluent meshing. But you can probably find all of the functionality of tgrid in Fluent meshing. And lots of other meshers.

You could also ask how to perform a triple bypass surgery. And then ask where is a human heart located. No one will tell you how to do the triple bypass if you don't know where is the heart... Questions may be valid, but so is fear of enabling you to do something you might not be ready for.
