Hello,
I'm noticing some strange behavior near the inlet with my basic simulation: one 3D fluid domain, transient, inlet set with velocity of 4 m/s, laminar flow model, lateral/top/bottom walls are slip-flow (0 shear). The domain is meshed with hex cells. There are no UDFs or other settings - it's just an empty fluid domain with constant inlet velocity. From the contours, it looks like there's a border with lower-velocity for the inlet plane, and this also shows up near the inlet on the plane of fluid flow. Can anyone please advise as to what may be causing this phenomenon? Thanks! |
