Hi guys,
I am quite new to Fluent and would appreciate your help. I have a cube that has a channel inside through which water flows and thus cools the cube. The channel inside should be optimized with Adjoint Solver to improve the cooling. Which settings would you recommend? I have now simulated it with the following settings. (Image) Bild1.jpg Bild2.png This is now a simplified model. In the real model the heat source is widely dispersed and the cooling channel is elaborately designed close to the contour. The CFD simulation runs quite stable and converges. If I now calculate the Adjoint Observable on Pressure drop I get a result. It also calculates a change in the value, but I do not see any change in the mesh itself. What can be the reason? With the same cooling channel but without the cube it works and I see how the channel changes. Later still the Observables come that also Heatflux and temperature include. But for now I think pressure drop should work. I would be very grateful for any help and advice |
