Hi
In Fluent, the parameter of the Heat of Reaction is defined as pic1. But if we calculate it in the custom field function, we get a different result. When the simulation is steady state, this difference is minimized as the solution converges. But in unsteady simulations, there is a significant difference (pic2,3). The enthalpy of formation and molecular weight is constant for any species, so the cause of the difference seems to be the volumetric rate of reaction of species. This difference also increases when we use the Eddy Dissipation Concept(EDC) model. Please help if you have any comments on this. Thanks |

Hi, can you pleease tell me how do you calculate the heat release rate(or define the custom field function) in fluent? I cannot find niether the enthalpy of formation of species or the volumetric rate of creation of species according to Eq.(5.10) in the fluent user guide.
