cfd-jhz is on a distinguished road
Hi,
I have a transient CFD case in which 5 zones need to be activated and deactivated in a sequential way. To establish initial condition, a steady-state case is first simulated in which the 1st zone is deactivated and other 4 zones are activated. During the transient simulation:
at time step=100, 1st zone is activated, and 2nd zone is deactivated.
at time step=200, 2nd zone is activated, and 3rd zone is deactivated.
at time step=300, 3rd zone is activated, and 4th zone is deactivated.
at time step=400, 4th zone is activated, and 5th zone is deactivated.
As you can see, the 5 door zones are activated and deactivated in a sequential way and each door zone is activated/deactivated only one time. But in Execute Commands, it seems that I can only specify the calculation activities in a repetitive way, i.e. every * iterations or every * time steps. Could you please kindly suggest if there are any ways in Fluent to handle this CFD case or I have to do it manually?
Thanks,
jhz

AlexanderZ will become famous soon enoughAlexanderZ will become famous soon enough
you may put "if statement condition" to check time moment
cause seems like you know open/close time moments from the very beginning
