When I wrote the dat file, the following error occurred:

The fl process could not be started.

I changed the parallel mode to serial mode calculation, but this error still occurred, as following:

The fl process could not be started.

I changed my computer and tried again, but I always get this error message, my UDF is run normally in the other case, so I don't know what is the cause of this error and how to solve it. The version I am using is 2019R2.

Is your model by any chance very large? Hundreds of millions of cells, or more?

Less than 100,000 cells

Then you just should consider it bad luck, exit Fluent, start from your last saved files that worked, and do the work again.

If the problem repeats, contact Ansys and tell them exactly what you do to get this problem.

My cell count is less than 100,000, and restarting the computer is useless, the computer I am using has 64GB of RAM. I have used other versions of Fluent and this problem still occurs. I used workbench to read this case/dat, and it prompted me that the mesh and data did not match. I don’t understand that the case/dat saved together will have a mismatch problem, and it can still be calculated well (the calculation process is okay, and the calculation results look reasonable), which is really incredible, and finally I regenerate the data through the interpolation function. In the subsequent calculations, the error of not being able to save dat has appeared.
