Hi
I am running fluent simulations for phase change process. I need to extract temperature as a matrix, each element of matrix corresponds to a temperature of a point on the surface. I found it very hard to define a separate monitor for each point and save it to file. I am using Fluent 18. Thanks in advance. |

If you can update your fluent, do it. From 19 it is possible to store different monitors to a single file.

Thanks for the reply, In fluent 18 I can store them in single file
It's not about storing then in a single file, I have to manually define a monitor for each point. |

If you know the coordinates, try to write a journal.

from my point of view,
easiest way actually is define all points. you may define list of this points which contains coordinates. Once it is done, read this list using journal, to create points automatically. Also, you may write data to file using UDF. In that case you will still need list of coordinates. UDF is more tricky
