punnia is on a distinguished road
hi guys,
i have a doubt in fluent. my melt fraction values did not converge first time, but when i started giving time step values smaller and started increasing it gradually, i got my solution converged. what is the reason behind it, and also is that the time step should be larger for larger cell size.

when i started the same simulation for second time, the melt fraction did not appear for the same time, instead it started appearing at different time. while running the simulation for many times, it is converging at various times. what is the reason behind it. i couldn't conclude my results.

remember, this is for initially running the simulation, to see that the convergence is occuring, and for which the time step size is larger, and number of time steps is smaller in order to get a quick view at the results.

for all the simulation, i am keeping the cell size same.

thanks in advance for your reply,

waiting for ur reply
