Hi,

I am trying to do validation for a bluff body under cross flow in fluent.

I understand that for getting the Strouhal number, the setting should be
viscosity =0.01,
density=1,
and for Re=100, if the diameter is 1, then the velocity is 1.

But in the case of non circular body, which dimension of diameter should I use to calculate the velocity? The flow is in the X-direction.
Should I use diameter in the x direction (1m) or y direction(1.5m)?

TQ
