face normal vectors on a cartesian cutcell mesh

hello, I am trying to output the face normal vectors on interiors of a cartesian cutcell mesh with a udf. The udf works well with structured mesh, but not for the cartesian cutcell one. Does anyone has a clue why this happens? Thanks again for responding.
