d_turner is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I have plotted the turbulent viscosity ratio for a DES of an airfoil in ground effect and have noticed a worrying feature I cannot figure out. The figure attached shows that the regions far from the wall have a higher level of turbulence, before becoming more laminar in the region closer to the airfoil. This is confusing, as I set a very low level or turbulent intensity at the inlet (0.7%). May it be due to poor aspect ratio as the mesh changes near the airfoil? Any help is much appreciated.
