Hi all,
I have a confusion about solving sequence of pressure based segregated solver. I am wondering is fluent solving all conservation equations in one cell and then proceed to the next cell or solving one conservation equation in all cells and then proceed to the next conservation equation for all cells? Best regards Weiqiang |

Solution is always for a full matrix and the matrix is composed of field, i.e., values of a variable, say T, over whole mesh. The actual method is rather involved, but in simpler terms, each equation is solved in a sequential manner over whole mesh in each iteration. Flow equations are solved first and then turbulence, then energy and other equations. How flow equations are solved depends on the pressure-velocity coupling used.
Solving an equation in a single cell does not have a meaning; there is nothing to be solved, actually.

Yes, I understand. Fluent solves a whole matrix of one conservation equation for the whole domain and then proceed to the next conservation matrix. Thanks a lot Weiqiang |
