Just. want to make sure my thinking is correct here. In the solid properties, it asks to assign density, specific heat, and conductivity. The density and specific heat should only be relevant for the solid if doing an unsteady simulation, right? If I am doing a steady RANS simulation, the conductivity should be the only variable that has an effect on the solution?

Yes your are right. In the formula for the thermal conduction through a wall, there is no term with density or specific heat.

The actual energy equation is written in terms of enthalpy. For constant properties, the field becomes temperature field. However, the enthalpy and entropy are still dependent on density and specific heat. Hence, those properties are required.
