Hi everyone,
I am running a transient heat transfer simulation. I looked for but can't find a solution that satisfies me. In solution settings, I have options to set both Courant # and time step size seperately. Considering my constant velocity, constant mesh size and CFL equation ( CFL#= V*deltat / deltax ); time step size and CFL number should be related. If I enter irrelevant values for them, which parameter is used by the software ? It is similar to the question that; if I can enter time step size, why there is an option to set CFL or vice versa? (for fixed mesh and velocity) |
