Hi, there.
In order to obtain a stable flame shape, the inlet velocity has to be always between laminar burning velocity and blow-off velocity. But I am not sure the inlet velocity refer to the max or mean velocity in my parabolic diagram? Can someone explain the theory as well? |

Velocity at the inlet is user specified. If you specify a constant value then the profile is a planar (straight line for 2D), i.e., no variation across the boundary. If you want to apply parabolic profile, then you have to apply it using a profile file or UDF. If you are using v19.x or later, you may use expressions as well.
