Hi All,
I am using FLUENT watertight workflow to mesh the geometry, I am trying to do multiple design iterations by changing the step height.

Whenever I import the mesh from FLUENT Mesher to FLUENT solver I am getting different zone name and this is causing me trouble in using boundary condition files.

How can I maintain consistently the same zone name which I have specified in the SpaceClaim.

Thank you

Are you using Fluent Meshing, i.e., Fluent for generating the mesh or Ansys Meshing, which opens up if you click on Mesh within Workbench? I suppose it is latter and not the former. If names are created in SCDM, do check those are passed on correctly to Meshing. If that is not happening, then you have to look in SCDM for the reason.

I am using FLUENT Meshing, not the Workbench meshing. I have created names in SCDM.

I am afraid I have hardly ever used Fluent meshing. However, if a CAD file loaded into Fluent Meshing maintains the names, which, of course, depends on the options chosen while importing CAD, then the names should not get lost while moving to Solver.

you may change zone (and face) names inside fluent mesher.
But I've never tried to make script for that
