Morning all,

I am currently using HPC to simulate flow around a wingsuit. I have not yet found a way to find the Cl and Cd of the wingsuit, I can so far only find the lift and drag in Newtons. I am limited to using the TUI so does anybody know what the commands are to either convert the lift and drag into coefficients like you can on a Gui or just have it as coefficients in the first place?

TIA,

Zach

The coefficients are nothing by normalized force values. You just need to divide force in N by dynamic pressure of freestream to get coefficient values. As far as commands are concerned, you will find those under solve rep-def. But those will setup monitors. To fetch values, best would be to calculate at your end.

Hi there,

Thanks for your answer. I can get cd and cl when I set them up on the GUI, should there not be some TUI system for doing this as well? It seems counterintuitive.

Not every command in TUI has a parallel option in GUI, similarly, not every GUI option has a TUI command. You can setup a monitor for coefficient, you can print their values as the simulation proceeds, but there is no option to compute by giving a command. Possibly in future release.
