Good day everyone,
I´m currently working with 2D airfoil simulations at very high Reynolds numbers, and comparing the data with wind tunnel results. So far I have been using the Transition SST model, which is the basic K-W SST turbulence model coupled with two more equations, which results in the Gamma-Theta model. This model is by default and I haven´t changed or added anything from the initial set-up in Fluent. However, after doing some research I have found that the K-W SST turbulence model coupled with the E^n transition model method gives better results. The down side is that Fluent does not give this option in the turbulence model dialog box, so I assume it must be implemented through some kind of UDF in the KW SST turbulence model. Does anyone has experience with this, or has done something similar? Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks in advance! |
