Hi everyone....
I hope to help me in this issue where i'm modelling a MOVABLE circular heat source in x direction using Fluent and i want to plot the variation of it's center temperature with time when moving in x direction with a specified velocity. i.e, Y axis to be the temperature axis and X axis to be the flow time axis. thank you in advance for your kind help. |

The idea is....
1) Create a point surface at the center 2) Create a monitor, and monitor the temperature at the point created in 1) What's the implementation of the MOVING heat source? That determines how doable is 1). |

Thank you Lucky Tran,
i'm simulating the selective laser melting so the heat sourece here is consider as the laser heating. but for the created point, it will be fixed and i need it to move with the heat source. |

That's why I asked how you actually implement the moving heat source.
When you create a point surface, it is actually associated with the node numbers. If you were to move the mesh, this point would actually move with the mesh (since the node numbers are unchanged). What I'm looking for, is what type of logic that may be exploitable. |
