Hello! I am conducting arc plasma simulation. I have been trying to get the result of Pierre Freton’s paper “Comparison between a two- and a three-dimensional arc plasma configuration”.

I have established the model and my UDF code seems to work, but the calculation always turn to no convergence, the results are appearently wrong.

I have made many efforts, but not successful. I am wondering if you can help me figure out the problem, or if possible, share some tutorials with me?

the problem could be with your model settings.
If you fix these problems you will get converged solution

best regards

Thank you AlexanderZ. But I have tried everything I know, but still not successful.

I am wondering if anyone could help me check my case file and UDF. I am desperately in need of help and guidance.

You were able to simulate this article with fluent “Comparison between a two- and a three-dimensional arc plasma configuration”.
