Hey Guys

i am currently trying to model some kind of Tissue-well for my Thesis and got a few questions.

1) the Re Number is going to be very low, somewhere around 1 I think. This should be a laminar Flow, but is it safe to disable all Turbulence modelling? Are there any negative side effects _if_ i have enabled a turbulence model while having a laminar flow?

The model consist of a well (a containment) and some tissue which is fixed onto post but surrounded by the medium. The idea is now to have some concentration X of species Y in the Media at the inlet, then model the diffusion into the Tissue, have there some kind of volumetric reaction with an Product Z which diffuses back into the Media and gets carried away.

2) I have currently no clue how to model the tissue. The tissue is fixed onto posts and currently a solid. Unfortunately i cannot model diffusion into the Solid nor model the Volumetric reaction.

Do you have any hints, clues how i could overcome this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Lukas
