Hello everyone,
I am currently working on my thesis about CFD simulation of dispersion of non-spherical particles in the standard 20-l bomb.
To simulate the injection of non spherical particles in the vessel, I chose a non spherical-drag law in the injection sets.
I made a number of ten simulation at 10 different values of the shape factor, from 0.1 tp 10. As result, I plotted TKE vs Shape factor, and I obtained a wavy trend, characterized by two point of minimun, at SF=0.4 and SF=0.7.
Unfortunately, although my researches, I could not find anything about this effect of the shape factor on TKE. The only link I've found regards the correlation between drag coefficient and turbulence, but this does not answer to my question. Could someone please help me?
