hi everyone,
i'm validating a simulation of a fluidic oscillator and comparing the frequency of my simulation to a research paper. the geometry is scaled from the paper and duplicated the Reynolds number to get the exact same frequency, however that doesn't happen. I simulated the flow for 2 seconds with a low time step then another 3 seconds with larger time step(.001) and started recording results for every 20 time step. the expected frequency is 17Hz. k-epsilon SST turbulence model is used . I get a reverse flow at outlet pressure and tried to use outflow boundary condition instead but didn't work out. also I don't have information about the length of the downstream domain ,what should be the length?. attached is the geometry and mesh of the model. thanks. |
