Adjoint Solver: Bounded by Surfaces constraint not converging

Hello there,
I'm trying to use Ansys Fluent Adjoint Solver to optimize shape design for aerodynamic drag. Settings include, realizable K-epsilon (scalable wall functions), polynomials in the design tool, and a bounded by surface condition. When I run the fluent solver, then the adjoint solver, then 'calculate design change', It tells me that 'bounded by surfaces not converged' or similar. And when I press the 'modify mesh' button, it tells me 'negative cell volume detected' and a bunch of errors. When I run fluent solver with this mesh, I get 'divergence detected in AMG solver' errors. I feel this is a problem with bounded by surfaces, however, I looked through the manual thoroughly and found nothing useful, and searched online and found nothing. Are there some settings I could change to prevent this? Thanks so much for the reply. |
