I'm working on a transient shock wave simulation (varying angle of attack) with a 2d triangular wedge.


Software crashed midway during the analysis and I had to resume the calculations after force closing and opening the workbench.


After the calculations are complete, when I open CFD post proc (using results tab in workbench) and try quick animation, I only see few timesteps (instead of all the time steps). I tried uploading the .cdat file instead bu I get an error (dialog box)

If anyone could help with overcoming this error and generating the animation, it'd be great. Thanks in advance.

it was necessary to remove (delete) the CFXPreferences.ccl file from the C:/Users/Dell/.cfx/ folder. looks like it got damaged somehow.

then when starting CFX-Pre, the program itself created a good file

Confirmed.... deleting the preferences.ccl did solve the problem.
