When there is some relative motion between bodies we generally use overset mesh but what is dynamic mesh then?
Can anyone give example where to use overset and dynamic mesh respectively?

Many moving-body problems of interest involve large relative motion - rotor craft, store separation are prime examples. Deforming meshes can accommodate only limited relative motion before mesh degenerates (negative cell volume). Compared to remeshing, overset mesh allows greater control of local mesh characteristics as the geometry moves through the domain, because individual mesh zones need not deform to accommodate moving geometry
