Dasac failure at temperature error during combustion simulation

Dear all,
I am trying to simulate a combustion of propane and oxygen using detailed chemkin mechanism (GRI Mech 3.0) and I modified the mechanism files to include 3 additional charged species (I got the thermo/transport info from NASA Glenn Coefficients document). I used stiff chemistry solver with pressure-based and when I ran the simulation after ignition, each iteration step takes so much time and I see the "Dasac faliure at temperature: ( ) K: Continuing..." statement frequently in the print console. The process could not continue with a last error that says "Cortex received a fatal signal (Segmentation Violation)". I think the problem is clearly from the modified files, because I ran the same simulation again without modifying the original GRI Mech 3.0 files and it ran fine. But how do I fix this? There are many journals/papers that managed to include charged species in their simulations by modifying the chemkin files (same approach) but is there something that I missed? Maybe the ANSYS chemkin library does not support charged species or something? |
