Hello everyone,
Currently, I'm trying to simulate microalgae growth within photobioreactor along with its fluid dynamics. The time needed for microalgae cultivation is 10 days, how do I determine time steps for my simulation? Can I really put 10 days as time steps? I really appreciate it if someone has recommendations or suggestions for this problem. Thanks in advance! |

The time step depends on the activity of your flow field. Start with a steady state solution where the mircoalgae will not growth. Than switch to transient and growing, start mayby with 1 min time step. If the solution will converge within 20 iterations, than increase the time step, if not you have to decrease the time step.

Hi,
please help me I am growing the microalgae Microchlopsis giditana in the lab. The algae color is yellow and I am expecting green colour. What parameter can cause a microalgae to turn yellow. what is it that I need to change maybe. |
