Good day everyone,
I am new to Fluent, trying to use cyclic periodic boundar condition for a swirl flow inside a cylinder. I have read the Fluent tutorial and modelled only 30deg section of the whole cylinder (to reduce the mesh to 1/12 of its size), created named section, set symmetric periodic BC and set match control in periodic faces (low and high). Then, I made those faces periodic using "mesh-modify_zones-make_periodic" command. Those faces were made periodic!! But, when i initialise and run the simulatiom, i found that shadow face is open at the coordinate axis. I try to solve it by alternating the periodic and shadow faces, now it appears on other side. I don't know how to solve this. Can someone please help me with this!! Note: The attached picture is no my exact model, but i am showing it for better understanding.
