Dear all,
I'm trying to simulate in Ansys Fluent a cross-flow filtration system with 2D axisymmetric geometry and considering the tubular membrane as a porous media. The case simulated is transient and multiphase, eulerian model. First I converged the flow for the primary phase and then at t=0 I imposed the volume fraction of secondary phase to a predefined value (step perturbation); however, I am getting a convergence error "floating point exception"... The boundaries for my problem are: 1. velocity inlet 2. pressure outlet (main domain and membrane outlet) 3. axis 4. interior (boundary between the main domain and the membrane) I have no experience in simulating porous media with multiphase systems. Anyone knows if there are any option that should be taken into account when the problem to be simulated includes porous media and multiphase flows or even if the porous media and boundaries should be defined in other way different that for the single phase problems? Thank you. C.C |
