Which DPM turbulence model for particle transport in a narrow tube?

Hi, I am trying to model transport of metal particles by Nitrogen gas through a narrow tube (7mm ID). The particles are very small (~50 microns) and the volume fraction is very low, so I am using DPM.
I suspect that the motion of the particles may depend quite strongly on the unsteady turbulent eddies, which would increase the frequency of particle collisions with the walls. FLUENT has two options for modelling the effects of turbulence in DPM: stochastic tracking and a cloud-based model. I am wondering if anyone has experience of modelling this type of flow in FLUENT and which of these two turbulence models would be better suited to this situation? |

You could also use the two way turbulence coupling at the dpm settings, which leads to interaction of the turbulent eddies between the continous flow and the dpm
|
