Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate a 2 phase flow and the dynamic mesh adaption that I set at the interface is not working properly. In general it refines and coarsens correctly, but I get local coarseninf of the mesh at certain interface areas, where I want the mesh to be finest. My dynamic mesh settings are as follows: -Smoothing unchecked. -Layering checked: Ratio based, split factor=0.4, collapse factor=0.4 -Remeshing checked: remeshing methods: local cell, parameters: min length scale=0.22m; max length scale: 0.63m; max cell skewness=0.7, size remeshing interval=5 My gradient adaption settings are: Refine checked Coarsens checked Method: Gradient>Phases>Vol fraction>phase: water Normalization: Scale (my computed values lie between 1.42e-14 and 14.5), coarsen threshold=1.5e-14, refine threshold = 1e-13 Dynamic checked, interval=6 I am new to dynamic mesh and dynamic gradient adaption, so any help would be highly appreciated. The mesh is a 2d rectangle and the left wall is moving. The fluids are water and air. Thanks in advance. |
