Hello,
I have created a two phase flow model using fluent. It is a tank with dimensions 3m (length) x 0.3m (height) x 0.15m (width). I have created a lock release system, with 0.4x0.3x0.15m of saline solution at a density of 1.03 kg/m^3. The rest of the tank is normal water with density 1 kg/m^3. The simulation works and all is well with the setup etc... however: I want to extract the exact values for the head/nose of the saline plume as it propagates into the water? Also, I have introduced small 0.2x0.2x0.05m objects into the tank on one side, to model the interaction when the plume hits the objects. I need to extract the values of the height of the saline solution as it hits the objects? I am not familiar with MATLAB, so some basic explanation would be needed if anyone thinks I would have to use this program? But I'm thinking somehow I can extract the data from fluent itself and then create graphs on excel? I would appreciate all help!! Cheers (attached is an image of the tank!) |
